Can we talk about Imposter syndrome?
What is it? Impostor syndrome (also known as impostor phenomenon or fraud syndrome) is a concept describing high-achieving individuals who are marked by an inability to internalize their accomplishments and a persistent fear of being exposed as a “fraud”.
. Despite external evidence of their competence, those exhibiting the syndrome remain convinced that they are frauds and do not deserve the success they have achieved. Proof of success is dismissed as luck, timing, or as a result of deceiving others into thinking they are more intelligent and competent than they believe themselves to be.
Many of us, suffer. My friend, Nicole Walters has shared many truths about hers & how she has dealt & over come it
Well…I feel the urging to share. Recently, I’ve been presented with many examples in the Bible of people that seemed so unworthy, yet God chose them to do many and great deeds to further His kingdom… Esther, Mary, David, Saul, Paul, John … the list goes on. They too suffered from “IS” but they moved forward on His mission.
I truly believe these examples were delivered to show me that I may have a past & path that seems so random & unworthy of impossible Big dreams but it isn’t at all. It’s been part of the plan. And that I need to stop the sabotage of my efforts and momentum.
